The Big Issue’s annual calendar is on sale now from vendors across Australia!

This year’s calendar showcases the special bonds that form around a vendor’s connection to their selling spot – or “pitch” – and the surrounding local community.

For vendors, selling The Big Issue magazine is not just about earning an income. It’s also about getting involved and reconnecting with their communities. As we see in this year’s calendar, vendors have become integral, valued members of the areas where they sell.

Inside the calendar this year we visited vendors all around Australia at their pitch, including Simon at sunny Semaphore Beach in Adelaide, Wen at Canberra’s Woden shops, Mark at Coburg Farmers’ Market in Melbourne, Bevan at Sydney’s bustling Pitt Street Mall, Jackie in Perth’s beautiful Urban Orchard, and Kerry at the leafy James Street in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley. And of course there are hilarious cartoons from Andrew Weldon.

The Big Issue 2023 Calendar is available from vendors around the country for $20. Vendors purchase the calendar for $8 and sell it for $20, earning $12 for every calendar sold and a much-welcome boost of income.

Vendors now accept many forms of payment, including cash, tap & go, or PayID via your banking app. If you are not close to a vendor, you can pick up a copy from our online shop.
