Registrations open for the Social Impact Project

Registrations are now open for The Big Issue’s Social Impact Project, a new higher education experience for universities and students interested in social enterprise.

The Social Impact Project is an immersive learning experience where students are challenged to develop a concept and plan for a project or business that will create positive social or environmental change.

Students participating in the Social Impact Project will receive real-life experience in developing a concept into a workable business or project, guided with exclusive advice and feedback from The Big Issue’s management team. Students will receive valuable insights into developing and running a social enterprise and gain valuable employability skills such as problem solving, leadership and self-motivation.

In addition, students will have an opportunity to hear from a guest speaker who has experienced disadvantage.

The Social Impact Project is suitable for universities and subjects studying business, entrepreneurship and innovation, and want to give their students real life immersion in social enterprise.

Registrations are now open for the 2022 academic year. For more information or to register your interest contact Julianne Gardiner at jgardiner@bigissue.org.au.
