Registrations are now open for The Big Sell 2023, our latest fundraising campaign to support The Big Issue vendors.
The Big Issue vendors have felt the effects of a difficult few years. Whilst vendors nationally have returned to street selling, decreasing foot traffic has impacted vendors’ ability to earn a meaningful income. That’s where The Big Sell comes in.
The Big Sell is an online fundraising campaign that helps raise much needed funds to continue supporting The Big Issue vendors across Australia. It’s open to anyone and everyone, individuals, team or businesses can sign up from Wednesday 1 February.
From Wednesday 1 March The Big Sell starts, and you’ll work to raise funds through your special online profile. Reach out to friends, family, colleagues, your entire network! If you meet the fundraising goal of $1,000 by Friday 17 March you’ll be invited to step into the shoes of The Big Issue vendors on Wednesday 29 March and try your hand at selling The Big Issue magazine. You may even get some support from vendors!
Every little bit counts in The Big Sell, and all proceeds will go towards ensuring that we can continue to help the vendors help themselves for another 26 years and beyond. Thanks to the incredible support of The Big Sell 2022, vendors were able to collectively earn an additional $70,000 thanks to a special 2-for-1 magazine offer. This year we want to have an even greater impact, and we hope to count on your support.
