Robert has been selling The Big Issue for eight years, and is best known for his bright artwork and brighter smile! Robert sells in Perth on Murray Street and Carillon Arcade and loves his work.

“I like going to the city with Cher (support worker). The atmosphere is great. I love meeting people who come up to me while I’m working, and I like that I’m making my own money.”

Robert is extremely creative and enjoys creating different artworks.

“I love colouring in with my million textas. I have bright big canvases all over my walls at my house. All my pieces of art are my favourite because I am great at colouring, because I concentrate and do it at my own pace. I just love creating art with lots of colour.”

With such a keen interest in art it was exciting for Robert to see himself become a character for our 25 Years Big campaign! He even used his creative talents to colour in his cartoon and bake the WA Vendor Support team a cake.
