Wicked

Unless you’ve been hiding under a recently fallen house, you would know that Wicked: For Good has hit theatres, concluding the story of Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda the Good (Ariana Grande). In this edition, take a walk down the Yellow Brick Road with Erivo, as she looks back on the music and magic of her life.

We also hear from Sheridan Adams, who plays the Wicked Witch of the West in the Australasian stage production of Wicked; comedian Joel Creasey tells us about the transformative power the musical; and writer Charles Carrall revisits the wonders of The Wizard of Oz.

More highlights in this edition:

    • King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard frontman Stu Mackenzie on a year of performing with orchestras, throwing raves and recording a new album with Australia’s busiest band.
    • From a pride of camera-loving lions to a skilful squirrel attempting martial arts, winners are grinners in the Nikon Comedy Wildlife Awards.
    • The History of Sound director Oliver Hermanus tells us how Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor bring a 1917 love story into 2025.
    • Author Madeleine Gray chats to us about the significance of chosen family, and her new novel of the same name.
    • Chrissie Swan shares the long-lost recipe for her favourite Spanish Almond Biscuits. Read the full recipe here.
