It’s Vendor Week and NSW vendor Simon writes a letter to his younger self
“You’ll Love Living”
Dear Altruistic Empath Warrior,
I know you are extremely lonely, with social anxiety stopping you from making a single friend in school. I know you left the ghetto in Mansfield Park, where life was heading nowhere. And you lived in fear of the juvenile delinquents who made it unsafe to walk the streets of your local neighbourhood. The positive thing is you will soon move in to live with your sister, with the hope of getting back on track with life.
You may not know this yet, but you have undiagnosed mental illness, which will make your life a living nightmare until you get the right medication that works for you. One thing I need to tell you: you need to accept your diagnosis and be cooperative to medications. You’ll need to work with your doctor till you get the medication right.
I know life is hard, but don’t give up: you have so much to be proud of. You’re very organised, respectful, humorous and well-loved by all. You are also outgoing, altruistic and self-dependent. You will have your own housing trust home, and a job where you feel like you’re your own boss.
Most of all you’re a FEAR conqueror – which is an acronym meaning you Face Everything And Rise. You will write your own 10 Affirmations, which will blow people’s minds with the life experience you have to offer. You will be an ambivert, which is both introvert and extrovert. You will have great support that will make your life awesome, so much so that you’ll love living.
You will be amazing with your linguistic skills, making people admire all the languages you can comprehend and speak. As for your social competitive skill level – you are an amazing pool player, incredible chess player and a kick-arse Street Fighter and Tekken player. Not many (if any) can go up against your skills and defeat you. Did I mention you are also great at basketball and soccer?
Your fashion sense is amazing; it’s a business-Matrix-gangster style. Whenever you walk into a room you make a scene with your style and awesome positive vibes. No matter where you go, you’ll always bring this charm to the table.
Now, we all know your favourite meals are dumplings or combination stir-fry. Well, guess what: you will master the fire and art of preparing these dishes! Your friends and relatives that try your cooking will love it and devour it all, no matter how much you cook.
So, listen up: when the depression gets too unbearable NEVER give up, because you’re amazing and awesome. The world needs you to brighten the world.
I love you so much – YOU’VE GOT THIS!!!
