The Big Issue’s Speaker Series is designed to help students understand how disadvantage and marginalisation impacts the customers and clients they may encounter in their careers.

The Speaker Series is a unique, real-world learning opportunity, suitable for a variety of student cohorts. Led by a skilled facilitator, students will learn of the causes and impacts of disadvantage and marginalisation and how to consider these things in their future careers, building an inclusive and empathetic outlook. The highlight of each booking is a guest speaker who shares their experience of disadvantage, and focuses on their interactions with professionals from students’ discipline areas.
