Workplace Learning

Ask Me Anything is a new and immersive workshop by The Big Issue designed to improve staff confidence in interacting with clients or customers experiencing hardship and disadvantage.

  • Facilitated by professional staff at The Big Issue, featuring a Lived Experience Speaker Panel.
  • Lived Experience Speakers share their stories of disadvantage, and speak to their experiences within your sector, or simply address stereotypes about homelessness.
  • Suitable for customer-facing staff in banking, allied health, telecommunications, utilities, customer service, hospitals and more.
  • Each workshop booked creates a shift of paid work for a Lived Experience Speaker.

Ask Me Anything workshops deliver positive social outcomes and impact. They build empathy and improve skills in supporting customers or clients.

“It’s confronting to think that an offer of help can also be seen as a threat to someone…I really found that it was a worthwhile session. I love to hear about other people’s stories. They help us to get a better understanding, especially if it’s around a topic we don’t experience or know a lot about.”
